Orlando is the county seat of Orange County, FL and has a population of over 190,000 - with the greater metropolitan area having in excess of 1.8 million inhabitants. Completed in 1971, the area experienced another population explosion and economic growth that included not only Orange County, FL - but Seminole, Osceola, and Lake counties as well.

For air travelers, Orlando is served by Orlando International Airport, with secondary air service provided by Orlando Sanford International Airport. There is also an Orlando Executive Airport frequently used for private / charter flights and general aviation.
Interstate 4 is the major freeway by which travelers reach Orlando. It intersects the Florida Turnpike southwest of downtown Orlando. The Lynx bus line provides service to travelers in the tri-county areas of Osceola county, Orange county, and Seminole county.
